What to Expect When Entering Drug Rehab
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Survey on Drug Use and Health estimates that 23.5 million Americans aged 12 or older required treatment for drug or alcohol addiction in 2009. Over time this number is rising.
Inpatient rehab centers have a stigma attached to them where their services are only helpful for a certain kind of patient. At Beachway, we work to erase this stigma. Our rehab facility is accessible to anyone who needs it. When you enter rehab, you are making the commitment to accept treatment for drug addiction or other addictions or disorders. Many co-occurring mental health disorders such as eating disorders, PTSD, bipolar or depression are also treated in rehab.
What is the Holistic Approach?
At Beachway, we employ a holistic approach, meaning we focus on rehabilitating your mind, body and soul to prevent relapse and give patients a chance at a bright and healthy future. We work to diagnose the root of the addiction, whether it is a mental health disorder or any other underlying cause. From there we are able to provide a unique and individualized treatment plan that will help foster results.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse acknowledges that drug addiction is complex and diverse. Addiction is different for everyone, therefore treatment must be accommodating. At Beachway, we are proud to offer unique treatment options for all.
How Long is the Program?
With inpatient drug rehab, we often recommend that patients commit to 30 days of treatment, but remain open to the idea of extending their stay if needed. During their stay at our facility, patients will have the option to experience a wide variety of therapies and activities. By providing access to different therapies and activities we are creating a dynamic recovery that has proven to be successful, with most programs being successfully completed in the 30 days.
Recover in Peace and Tranquility
Located in beautiful Delray Beach in Florida, Beachway’s facility is a blend of unpretentious luxury. With a comfortable and homelike tranquility, the rooms are inviting and the exotic landscape is relaxing. With a beach nearby and a tropical landscape, you can recover in a beautiful and serene setting.
How Large are the Programs?
The facility itself can accommodate between 40 to 50 clients at a time, meaning the building never feels overcrowded. Our expert therapists typically work with six to eight patients at a time, so they are never overloaded with work and can provide the care and assistance you need.
Is Inpatient Treatment Right for Me?
When you enter an inpatient drug rehab you can expect to receive all-encompassing support. The week is broken up with medical and psychiatric visits if needed, group and private therapy sessions and activities. With inpatient treatment, your housing and meals are taken care of by the facility.
Outpatient treatment is often less intense and is limited to group sessions that happen one to three days per week. This includes services such as Narcotics Anonymous. Support for this kind of treatment is limited and clients often choose to live in halfway houses or other sober living environments.
Why is Aftercare Important?
Making the decision to enter rehab is making a commitment to sober living. This does not mean being sober ends when you leave rehab. From day one, aftercare is discussed with the patient and a discharge plan is developed. At Beachway, we believe in a strong aftercare plan and continued care to ensure no relapse.
We work with family members and loved ones to ensure that support is offered for discharged patients and by offering several options; we can ensure continued success on the road to sobriety.
By developing a comprehensive aftercare plan we can ensure no client is left behind or forgotten. Some of the ways Beachway ensures aftercare is taken seriously includes:
- Providing structure with outpatient group and private sessions. We also provide family sessions with transportation to the meetings covered to make it easier to attend.
- Giving access to our Resource Center that is excellent for offering skill-building workshops to help clients get back on track. This includes resume writing, interview skills, help finding continued education and providing a structured routine to find employment.
- As the second step out of rehab, we also provide a structured sober living environment close to the treatment center. Here, clients are giving a curfew and drug tests are administered to make sure clients are held accountable for their actions.
