Family Recovery is Possible
Family members who deeply and genuinely care for one another may not know how best to effectively deal with addiction. That’s why in addition to individual therapy, Beachway also offers a range of therapeutic options for families, allowing loved ones to learn firsthand how to actively participate in the recovery process.
With our help and support, family recovery is possible! Root issues, underlying problems with family dynamics, and solutions for improved interaction and supportive behaviors are all explored.
Alcoholism and drug addiction affects the entire family. One family member addicted to drugs and or alcohol means the whole family suffers. The wife, husband, parents, children and siblings all need assistance in healing. The family is also instrumental in the recovery process.
Addiction is a family disease that stresses the family to the breaking point, impacts the stability of the home, the family’s unity, mental health, physical health, finances, and overall family dynamics. Without help, active addiction can completely disrupt a family’s life; the chaos can cause permanent negative effects.
Perhaps even more importantly, the impact of addiction on the other family members, and all of the associated consequences it carries, are more fully understood.

Family Dynamics
The affects of addiction on the family are addressed and highlight the role of addiction in the clients family unit.
Psychological Education
Psych education is a well-established component of cognitive-behavioral therapy in adult patients.
Relapse Prevention
Teaches a client about the triggers and signs that are common in relapsing and what to do to prevent personal relapse upon conclusion of treatment.
Family Recovery Program
Beachway Therapy Center is now offering a no additional cost family recovery program. Families are invited to participate in the optional family weekend at Beachway Therapy Center’s campus in Delray Beach, FL. The family weekend will take place over one Friday and Saturday of each month. Please register 7 days prior to the event date.
Participants are only responsible for travel, meals and hotel. We have arranged a special rate at the Delray Beach Hyatt located at 104 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444 (561) 330-3530. Please call and make reservations.

Beachway provides lunch at the center for the families on Friday.

Transportation
Transportation will be provided by Beachway Therapy Center from the Hyatt to the facility on both Friday and Saturday. A complimentary breakfast buffet will be provided at the Hyatt. Beachway Therapy Center will be providing a complimentary lunch on both Friday and Saturday.
