More Information
With the recent implementation of the Parity Act, third-party administrators like Core Source Insurance successfully expanded their services to include employee self-funded group health insurance coverage for alcohol and drug rehabilitation. As a Federal law, the Parity Act sheds light on the employer benefits of self-funded employee programs, with emphasis placed on mandatory health insurance guidelines for large company employers. A simple check with the Human Resource (HR) will confirm the Core Source Insurance coverage for rehabilitation costs for an employee seeking these services.
Employers who currently do not invest in employee alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs are rethinking their commitments to employee health and well-being. Most employers are happy to have Core Source Insurance as a third-party administrator to provide coverage for treatment of addiction, as they would for any other medical health insurance plans they offer to their employees. Employers have found that these benefits are no more restrictive than insured coverage under typical employee standard medical healthcare insurance.
In addition to handling claims and providing exceptional nationwide networks, Core Source Insurance also handles inpatient and outpatient participating providers and non-providers. Under their Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency, typical inpatient coverage has a limited forty-five days per calendar year for both participating and non participating providers combined. Up to thirty-five sessions per a calendar year for both participating and non-participating providers are allowed under most plans. As with any employer offered health insurance plan, the employee is required to pay the deductible of 80%. After the deductible is paid, all reasonable and customary charges are covered by the plan.
Core Source Insurance offers a summary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) with all of their plans, which includes invaluable information of what their third-party administrator services covers. Core Source Insurance is also dedicated to any and all of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for insuring employee privacy in all matters of their drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs.
