About Our Faith Based Rehab Treatment Program
Beachway Therapy Center has an approach to faith-based treatment that is determined by the clients desire and needs. Should a client in our rehab elect to participate in this optional treatment method, we counsel them accordingly.
The Cornerstone to Recovery
For most people in recovery the cornerstone of their program is “spirituality.” When mutual support recovery began to emerge in the early 1900’s Christianity was at the heart and soul of this unique approach. These programs were developed through Biblical principles specifically the Book of James, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, Matthew chapter 5 and 1 Corinthians chapter 13 the “Love Passage”.
Beachway Therapy Center not only recognizes the need for a spiritual connection, but we educate and encourage our guest to explore this approach to recovery.
Helping the Addict
The essence of Christian recovery was, and still is, helping the addict who still suffers by carrying to him a message of hope in Christ. Sharing what God has done for the recovered individual and can do for those that want that help and diligently seek Him.
Beachway Therapy Center’s approach to Christian recovery is to address Christian recovery principles in a way that is in congruence with a true spiritual experience. We will not overwhelm any guest with doctrinal religion. We recognize that Jesus is Love. God is a forgiving and loving God.
Sustainable Joy & Long-Term Success Recovery
If you or a loved one wants sustainable joy and long-term success then Christian recovery may be the answer. Christian recovery often leads to the lasting changes Carl Jung suggested in the 1930’s that he described as “vital spiritual experiences”. Individuals that experience such transformations have a qualitatively as well as quantitatively joyous long term recovery from those whose response to treatment consists of just stopping the use of a substance or mastering a set of cognitive-behavioral skills.
