Like many treatment centers, Beachway works with detoxification facilities and hospitals to help you complete this first phase of treatment. We can refer you to a detox hospital, or you can go to one of your own choosing. After that, you’ll come to Beachway’s safe, private and secure Florida facilities to complete treatment.

“Is detox painful?”

Advances in detoxification minimize pain and make the detox process rather smooth – so it’s not like you may have seen on TV. How you respond to detox depends on the substance you’re addicted to and how long your body & mind have been addicted to it.
We’ll prepare you for everything you can expect to experience during detox, and you can rely on medical supervision and aid to minimize the negative effects of withdrawal.

“Will I have to do a drug test?”

Detox includes blood and urine tests. We screen both to see what substances you have been taking so that we can help you through the most successful detox. In addition, we rely on you telling us all the substances you know you’ve taken – so it’s up to you to be honest with our intake team.
